{Grandpa Crash}

Always the protector of the flock, here is Crash watching over the sweet, baby members of the family.

Thank you for protecting us, Crash Bandicoot, even in your final months.

{A Crash for all Seasons}

 Queen Elizabeth prefers Corgis for a reason.

Crash was unique. He was a masterful working dog, who spent hours herding the couch. He dutifully tried to ward-off dangerous lawn mowers and umbrellas. He barked at thunder and airplanes equally.

He reminded me to never feel self-conscious for having big ears.

He loved me unconditionally, in a way few humans ever have. He forgave me for not being a perfect master, but never forgot me.

 I was optimistic that I would see Crash one last time before he left us.

Crash, I'm sorry I wasn't with you today but I'm glad dad was there. I know how much you loved dad.
You may not believe this, but I thought about you all the time. I missed you a lot.
I will continue to miss you a lot.
Rest in peace.

{Japan Jam}

On Saturday, my friends from STEPS and I hosted an event called Peanut Butter and Japan Jam. Among other things, there were performances by the Polynesian Student Union, Vilociti Dance Company, and Japan Club. There was an incredible anime and Japanese apparel fashion show put together by the Utaku club. We raised $2,100.00 for the Japanese Red Cross in about 4 hours! If you weren't there, here are fabulous pictures taken by Mark Larsen.

{Onion Surprise}

There is a kitchen cabinet by my stove's hood I rarely open. When I am cleaning, and open this cabinet by chance, I get the greatest surprise of my life.

"Oh! Hello Onion! Nice to see you've grown!" is what I usually say.
Then I shut the cabinet and continue cleaning. I leave him for next time I am having an ordinary day, when he'll delight me again.

It is a throwback to the secret "scientific" experiments I performed when I was a kid.

My roommates and I will move in May and I'm considering leaving him. Wonder if the next tenants will be as thrilled as I am by his biological fanciness!
